Brittany Vencill – Owner & Director
Brittany is the 2018 NFHS Kentucky Field Hockey Coach of the Year. She is the current head coach at duPont Manual High School where she just completed her 11th season. She was named the KFHCA Field Hockey Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2011. Brittany recently led Manual to the Apple Tournament Championship (the first ever for a JCPS school in the 47 years of the tournament being held). She also led Manual to capture their first State Championship in 2011. Since taking over at Manual she has led her team to 3 state final appearances and 9 state semifinal appearances. Her teams are consistently ranked top 10 regionally and often ranked nationally. Brittany served as an assistant coach at Louisville Collegiate School helping to lead them to back to back state final appearances in 2008 and 2009 before taking over at duPont Manual. She also has 15+ years of indoor experience, taking teams to NIT at both the U16 and U19 levels. Her U16 teams have competed at the U19 division on a few occasions, qualifying for NIT, and finishing strong in a U19 pool. Her intensity and enthusiasm for the sport and genuine care for her athletes shows in her team results. Brittany has helped several Bluegrass athletes be successful at the next level. She has helped develop 11 NFHCA All Region selections at duPont Manual High School and 15 total through Bluegrass. She is very well connected on all levels as she serves on the NFHCA All Region and All American Selection Committees, serves as the Secretary on the Kentucky High School Field Hockey Coaches Association Board, she has her USA Field Hockey Level 2 Certification, and attends clinics and conferences regularly to network with the collegiate coaches. Brittany also serves as the JCPS Middle School Field Hockey Commissioner.
Mary Andrews
Mary is from St. Louis, Mo where she played at Villa Duchesne and for AIM Field Hockey Club. While at Villa, Mary was named First Team All-Conference, and Third Team All-Metro. She was the 2013 Most Valuable Defender. Mary also played for Centre College where she led her team to the NCAA Elite 8. Mary is the current freshman Head Coach at duPont Manual High School.
Hayley Barker
Hayley is the All Time leading goal scorer at Centre College and duPont Manual High School. Hayley recently finished a record setting career at Center College where she led her team to the NCAA Elite 8. Hayley was named a team captain, was a NFHCA All American, a three-time NFHCA All Region Selection, a three-time all SAA Conference selection, led the SAA Conference in scoring, and was named SAA Offensive Player of the Year. She has coached several of our teams at the national and regional levels. Hayley also played for duPont Manual where she helped her team win the 2011 State Championship. Hayley is a current assistant coach at duPont Manual High School. Hayley played for Bluegrass from 2011-2014.
Elena Curley
Elena is a member of USA Field Hockey’s National Team Development Squad. Elena recently finished a very successful Division I career at Northwestern University where she led her team to a NCAA Elite 8 finish. Elena brings high energy, an incredible skill set, and high level strategy to the club. Elena played for Presentation Academy before going onto Ohio University and then transferring to Northwestern University. Elena played for Bluegrass from 2011-2014.
Rebecca Fleischaker
Rebecca played for Atherton High School as well as Miami University. Most recently she coached at Noe Middle School helping develop key basics for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Rebecca works with our U14 group helping to develop their basic skills, overall understanding of the game, and making sure they gain confidence while improving their skills.
Clare Grady
Clare played for duPont Manual High School where she won a State Championship along side Hannah and Hayley. Clare went on to Wittenberg University to have a very successful Division III collegiate career. Clare became a student coach her senior season after a career ending back injury. Clare brings great knowledge to our staff with her strategic mindset. Clare is currently the head freshman coach at duPont Manual High School. Clare played for Bluegrass from 2011-2013.
Emily Hinton
Maddi (Elliott) Holsten - Goalie Coach
Maddie played for Sacred Heart Academy and Ball State University. Maddie brings great energy and knowledge to our goal keepers.
Hannah Kingsbury
Hannah played for duPont Manual where she won a State Championship and was named to the NFHCA All Region team. Hannah went on to play for Ohio University where she had a very successful Division I collegiate career. Hannah is a fierce competitor and brings great knowledge to our staff. Hannah is currently an assistant coach at duPont Manual High School. Hannah played for Bluegrass from 2011-2013.
Joan Mathews
Joan played for duPont Manual High School where she led her team to the state finals and 4 state semi-final appearances. Joan was the anchor to the defense and went on to play at Wittenberg University where she just wrapped up a successful collegiate career. Joan works with all age groups and excels with the younger age groups as she is an elementary school teacher and has worked at Camp Hi-Ho for several years. Joan played for Bluegrass in middle school and high school.
Kendall Keeling
Kendall played for duPont Manual High School where she was a strong attacker with an eye for the goal. Kendall was a part of 2 state semifinals and countless National tournaments with Bluegrass. Kendall works with with U12 and U14 and brings excellent stick skills to the coaching staff. Kendall played for Bluegrass from 2011-2014.
Monica Moehle
Monica played for Sacred Heart Academy and is currently finishing nursing school. She has been coaching with Bluegrass for several years and brings high energy and a strong fitness philosophy to the club. She was the head coach at Presentation Academy for two seasons before taking over at Atherton High School where she currently serves as Head Coach. Monica coaches all age groups and travels to various tournaments with Bluegrass.
Sadie Reynolds - Goalie Coach
Sadie played for Ballard High School and then Central Michigan University. Sadie is one of the best goal keepers to come out of Kentucky. She has an extreme passion for the game and loves giving back to younger goalies in the area. Sadie had a very successful Division I career and now works as a Child Life Specialist. Sadie works with our goal keepers through individual lessons, goalie sessions, and regular practice sessions. She brings high energy and a fun style to the club. Sadie played her senior year (2011) for Bluegrass in our first year of business.
Hannah Shelton
Jordan Thompson
Jordan is a current Graduate Assistant coach at Kean University in New Jersey. Jordan played Division I for Hofstra University in New York. Jordan played for duPont Manual leading her team to back-to-back State Finals in her junior and senior seasons. Jordan is an explosive attack player with vast knowledge not only as a player but also as a coach. Jordan was a 3-time 1st team All State selection, MVP, All Region selection, and a captain her senior season. Jordan also participated in USA Field Hockey’s Futures program having been selected to National Futures as well. Jordan works with all of our age groups and travels to the major tournaments. Jordan played for Bluegrass from 2014-2017.
Olivia Wagner
Olivia played for Presentation Academy and Central Michigan University. Olivia was a 4 year starter for Central Michigan and a two time All State selection in high school. Olivia was also named to the NFHCA All Region team and was a member of the Futures Elite program. Olivia brings great knowledge, skills, and strategy to the club. Olivia coaches our U16 and U19 Elite and Premier travel teams and travels to all of the major tournaments to coach our athletes wanting to play at the collegiate level. Olivia played for Bluegrass from 2011-2013.
