Our Spring Session is our most popular session and sells out every year! We have various offerings for all skill levels from beginner to elite level athletes. All training sessions will consist of skills, strategy, small games, full field game play, and fitness. Our coaches have extensive coaching and playing experience and are among the top coaches in the region. We pride ourselves on a very consistent coaching staff as our former athletes continue to come back and coach.
The Spring Session runs from April 13-May 26th. Training sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays to allow our athletes to participate in other spring sports at their schools (1 1/2 time block per training session). We will NOT practice on May 4th (Derby) or May 12 (mother’s day). These sessions will be made up on a weekday the week of May 13th and May 20th.
ELITE SESSION: This is for those athletes who are serious about field hockey and willing to commit a good amount of time to improving their game. This is our Elite Travel Teams session. All athletes in this session will tryout and be expected to attend all National level events that we enter. Those not selected to an Elite team will be placed on a Premier (Regional) team in our Premier Session. Athletes in this session will train twice a week in the spring and compete in local, regional, and National events that Bluegrass attends from spring 2024 through the Sunshine Showcase in late January 2025.
PREMIER SESSION: This is for athletes who are wanting to experience some travel opportunities but not be fully committed to the National level events. All athletes in this session will tryout and be expected to attend the local and regional events that we enter. Athletes in this session will train twice a week in the spring and compete in local & regional events that Bluegrass attends.

PRACTICE LOCATION: Practices will be duPont Manual’s TURF Field (1517 S 2nd Street, Lou, KY 40208 is the best address to use for GPS. You will turn into the “YPAS” parking lot on your right off of 2nd street).

AGE REQUIREMENT
U12 and under = 11 or younger on January 1, 2024
U14 = 12 or 13 on January 1, 2024
U16 = 14 or 15 on January 1, 2024
U19 = 16, 17, or 18 on January 1, 2024
EQUIPMENT: You will need a stick, shin guards, mouth guard, turf or tennis shoes, and a filled water bottle for each practice. These items are mandatory. If you are new to the sport and need to borrow equipment please email us so that we may assist you in getting started.
SPACE IS LIMITED - Spots will be filled on a first come basis! No athlete will be permitted to attend tryouts without complete registration paperwork, waiver, USA Field Hockey membership, and payment. No exceptions. No Refunds. Once we receive the completed registration, signed waiver, and payment we will email you a confirmation.
